یكی از روش‌های مرسوم ، رایج و البته جذاب كه می‌تواند در فرایند زبان آموزی بسیار مؤثر باشد استفاده از فیلم های زبان اصلی (Original Language) است كه هم باعث تقویت Listening Skill می شود و هم در بهبود Accent تاثیر بسزایی دارد.(البته فیلم های دوبله شده با زیرنویس انگليسی این اثرات رو مسلماً نخواهند داشت.)

از آنجا كه زبان انگلیسی در ایران به عنوان Foreign Language آموزش داده می شود و نه Second Language ، و استفاده از زبان انگلیسی محدود به كلاس درس می‌شود و در محیط خارج از كلاس امكان كاربرد زبان در حال یادگیری را ندارند، استفاده از این نوع فیلم ها موقعیت های جدیدی را برای آنها خلق می‌نماید.

امروزه این نوع فیلم ها به وفور یافت می‌شود و تهیه آنها زحمت زیادی ندارد ولی مشكل اینجاست كه ممكن است همه این فیلم ها زیر نویس مناسبی نداشته باشند و بدون زیرنویس هم كامل نیستند.

برای حل كردن این مشكل ابتدا نرم افزارsubtitle workshop (حجم MG 1.3 با پشتیبانی زبان فارسی) را دانلود كنید ، سپس برای تهیه کردن فایل های زیر نویس فیلم های سینمایی به زبانهای مختلف (از جمله فارسی) باید به این سایت مراجعه کرده و فایل زیر نویس فیلم مورد نظر خودرا دانلود کنید .

حجم این فایل‌ها فوق العاده كم است چیزی حدود 50 كیلوبایت ( زمان دانلود 15 ثانیه!!!)

برای مثال شما متن زیرنویس فیلم های رمز داوینچی و هری پاتر و جام آتش (هم متن زیرنویس فارسی هم انگلیسی) را می توانید از مسیر داده شده دانلود نماید.

كار با نرم افزار فوق زیاد سخت نیست ولی این نكته را باید متذكر شوم كه این نرم‌افزار فیلم ها را با فرمت dat پشتیبانی نمی كند یعنی اگر فیلم شما vcd و بر روی cd با فرمت dat قرار دارد قادر به خواندن آن نخواهد بود . در اینصورت كافی است فیلم خود را به فرمت mpeg تبدیل نمایید . برای اینكار نرم افزارهایی مثل vcd cutter توصیه می‌شود (در اكثر سی دی های Assistant موجود است.)

اگر میخواهید زیرنویس را با media player ویندوز یا هر نرم افزار دیگری ببینید ، باید یک فیلتر زیرنویس بر روی سیستم نصب نمایید . با نصب این فیلتر به شرطی که زیرنویس همنام فیلم و در فولدر خود فیلم باشد توسط اغلب نرافزار های مالتی مدیا قادر خواهید بود زیر نویس فیلم را ببینید . بطور مثال اگر نام فایل فیلم Avseq1.dat باشد نام زیر نویس را بگذارید Avseq.srt .

The Olympic Games is a sports event that takes place in a different city every four years. It includes many of the best athletes from all over the world. The first modern Games were held in Athens in 1896.

There are separate games for the summer and winter. The Summer Olympic Games has many sports, including athletics (track and field events such as sprint, marathon, and discus), swimming, gymnastics, cycling, boxing, soccer, weightlifting, wrestling, basketball, and many other sports. The Winter Olympic Games also have many sports, which include skiing, speed skating, luge, bobsled, figure skating, and ice hockey.

Athletes win medals made of gold, silver, and bronze for coming in first, second, and third place.

The most recent Summer Olympics were held in 2004 in Athens, Greece; before that, they were held in Sydney, Australia in the year 2000. The next ones will be held in Beijing, China, in 2008, and then London, Great Britain in 2012.

The most recent Winter Olympics were held in 2006 in Torino, Italy; before that, they were held in Salt Lake City, United States, in 2002. The next ones will be held in Vancouver, Canada in 2010.

English is a stupid language.
There is no egg in the eggplant

English muffins were not invented in England
French fries were not invented in France.

We sometimes take English for granted
But if we examine its paradoxes we find that
Quicksand takes you down slowly
Boxing rings are square
And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

If writers write, how come fingers don't fing.
If the plural of tooth is teeth
Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth
If the teacher taught,
Why didn't the preacher praught.

If a vegetarian eats vegetables
What the heck does a humanitarian eat!?
Why do people recite at a play
Yet play at a recital?
Park on driveways and
Drive on parkways

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy
Of a language where a house can burn up as
It burns down
And in which you fill in a form
By filling it out
And a bell is only heard once it goes!

English was invented by people, not computers
And it reflects the creativity of the human race
(Which of course isn't a race at all)

That is why
When the stars are out they are visible
But when the lights are out they are invisible
